The Middle East is an area where car is king and fuel is inexpensive, often leaving little incentive to find more environmentally-friendly ways of moving around.


But this year, as protests throughout the Middle East have pushed up the rate of oil, the problem of discovering alternative sources of fuel has entered sharp focus.


In a region that has among the greatest in the world, one organization is benefiting from the growing pressure to discover options to oil. It's established the Middle East's very first scheme to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's showing successful too, currently their client-list contains McDonald's.
